Run a full set of AQA GCSE Combined Science mocks with everything ready to print, teach, mark and report on.

These mock exam papers cover all six Foundation papers for AQA GCSE Combined Science: Trilogy (8464): Biology, Chemistry and Physics, Paper 1 and Paper 2. Each paper is 70 marks and 1 hour 15 minutes, laid out the way your students will see it in the summer.

Why I made these

I've worked with a lot of schools to support them through their mocks, and the same issues come up every year. Some students get hold of the specimen papers or other mock papers before the day, so those papers can be tricky to use. Teachers then spend hours putting a paper together themselves. Once the marking is done, someone still has to work out what each question tested, turn the marks into a question level analysis for the line manager, and give every student feedback that helps them improve. These mock papers do all of that for you.

What you get

  • 6 original mock papers (PDF), ready to print. Your students have not seen these questions before, so the results show what they really know.
  • 6 mark schemes in AQA format, with the answers, the extra information column and the assessment objective and specification reference for every part.
  • 6 walking talking mocks (PowerPoint). Every question part has a question slide, with its figure or table, and a "mark it" slide that shows the marking points and how to get the marks. A "what the examiners say" slide ends each question, with the common mistakes from AQA examiner reports in the speaker notes.
  • 1 Google Sheets tracker with question level analysis (QLA) built in. Every question is already labelled with what it asks, its topic, its specification reference and its skill. Type in your class's marks and it shows each student's score by paper, topic and skill in red, amber and green.
  • Ready-made reporting: a summary for your line manager or data drop, a reteach plan that lists the questions your class found hardest, and a feedback slip and printable report for every student with what went well, an even better if, a next step and how to get the marks next time.
  • A Start Here guide with the tracker link.

Easy to run

  • Sit a paper under exam conditions for Year 10 or Year 11 mocks, or teach it as a walking talking mock with the presentation on the board.
  • Use the papers for end of topic tests, revision lessons, intervention groups or home study.
  • Make a copy of the tracker, enter the marks, and you can see straight away which topics to reteach.

Who it is for

  • Heads of science and heads of department planning mocks and data drops.
  • Science teachers who want GCSE exam practice with the marking and analysis done for them.
  • Tutors and home educators preparing a student for AQA GCSE science, including private candidates.

Written for AQA

  • Every question is original and checked against the AQA specification. Higher-only content stays off these Foundation papers.
  • Required practicals, maths skills and the six-mark question appear in the same balance as the real papers.
  • The periodic table and the physics equation sheet are included where the real paper has them.

Your licence covers the classes you teach in your school, or the students you tutor or teach at home.
